Overview
IPD were commissioned to undertake the design of public transport upgrades to assist Auckland Transport's proposed improvements to bus route 37, Manurewa to Highbrook. The project involved the scheme design, consultation, detailed design and resolution of 43 bus stop sites. Five of the proposed sites required pedestrian crossing facilities, kerb alignment adjustment or footpath tie-in. Design requirements varied across the sites with some involving existing bus stop removal, upgrading to the latest TDM standards, or relocating to a more appropriate location.
