Overview
IPD were commissioned to undertake the signalised intersection design at the intersection of Glenfield Road and Roberts Road, Glenfield, in the Kaipātiki Local Board area. The project complexities included arterial road and bus route vehicle allowance, over-dimensional clearance requirements, an existing large retaining wall, multiple trees, and bus stop relocation. All of the project complexities were exacerbated by the intersection being suboptimally located around a horizontal bend with visibility restrictions.
